I'm Ty Halley; also known as 8BitLoser on various other sites. I do comics and have been doing so for as long as I can remember; because comics are totally awesome. I also do animation and screenwriting; interests I'm currently pursuing as a student at Ohio University. I also like pretty ladies, science fiction, strawberries and good music, I'm repeatedly told that I over-analyze things and I do this webcomic called Gtrood.

Gtrood is a webomic about pretty much everything; from nominalism to empiricism and all the way down to penis jokes (because who can deny the implicit hilarity that is penis.) If I didn't do this comic then all these bizarre connections I make in my brain would drive me insane. Also it would appear that there are those out there who can understand my ramblings and procure mirthful enjoyment from them; it seems to be a win-win for all involved.

The comic updates three time a week; Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Though I'm working on fixing it, sometimes I might miss an update or two if I have finals or an important project or something. I always make it up with extras strips though, so I'm sure you'll manage.

The name Gtrood comes from an online conversation I had with my friend Chris; he misspelled "good" as "gtrood" and for some reason we decided that Gtrood was some obscure anime that only hardcore anime fans knew about. I ended up buying the URL and putting together a fictitious "official website" so I could tell Chris that the series was done with filler, and it was announced on the site.

When I wanted to start a new webcomic I realized that I already had the URL for www.gtrood.com. And since the random yet meticulously calculated nature of the name's origin; fit with the obscure nature of the comic, there seemed to be no reason not to use it. (Except for issues with explaining the spelling to people you talk to in person; but what can ya do?)
